Fitbit Flex Giveaway

Alright everyone … today I am giving away something amazing!! I have teamed up with 7 other bloggers to bring you an amazing giveaway for a Fitbit Flex.

This slim, stylish device is with you all the time. During the day, it tracks steps, distance, and calories burned. At night, it tracks your sleep quality and wakes you silently in the morning. Just check out the lights to see how you stack up against your personal goal. It’s the motivation you need to get out and be more active.

The Fitbit Flex also comes in 10 different colors, the 9 below plus the teal color above

When you are wearing the Fitbit, it doesn’t even feel like you have anything on.  It is super light and moves with your arms.  It comes with two bands a small band and a large band and you can easily interchange the two.  You can see on the front there are 5 dots.  Those 5 dots represent how much you have done for the day.  You set your goal, for example I set mine at 10,000 steps, once I hit 2,000 steps I get one solid light, once I hit 4,000 I get 2 solid lights and so on.  It is a great way to track your progress.  The other awesome feature of the Fitbit Flex is the ability to track your sleep and see how well you actually do sleep.

The Color Run 2014

Last year I was approached to spread the word about the Color Run and I was so excited because I had always wanted to do the run but was never able to.  This past year I was and received my entries and we set off. The girls were free so we thought they would have fun and wanted them to get the experience as well.

….. Long story short we got all the way down to Cincinnati and as soon as we got in the parking lot our wheels wouldn’t turn.  We were pulling into the parking spot and WHAM!!! We couldn’t move our tires, we were stuck blocking the way to go down or up the aisle and we had to wait for someone to help.  Needless to say our car wound up having to be towed all the way home and we missed the race :(.  I was so bummed but then I got an email the other day for this years and I can’t wait to share the details with you!!!

Weight Loss Challenge Sponsor #5

Hello! Another week has passed and all the girls are still kicking butt.  I am so excited we are able to join together and help support and encourage each other along the way.

Our next sponsor is Bess Harrington.  She has her own fitness blog and has a program that she has graciously donated to our winner. The Slim Life Program.

I personally have this program and love it.  It really takes you step by step on steps you need to take to get to where you want to be. It shows you how to eat healthy and workout enough to keep your life balanced.  There are some great workouts and recipes included in the program as well.  I am so excited Bess has allowed me to give one of her programs away to our lucky winner!!

If you are interested in purchasing one for your self please visit her site and follow the prompts.

Weight Loss Challenge Sponsor #4

Today, marks the halfway point of our 10 week challenge and I am so proud of all the girls participating. We all have a lot going on but everyone is trying so hard to lose those pounds.

Today’s sponsor highlight goes to emmackdesigns and they donated a yoga pouch that is water-resistant and perfect for all those little items we don’t want to take to the gym but we have to.  I don’t know about you but when I go to the gym or to workout, I don’t want to take my keys, phone, money, etc. but I have to and most of the time it just comes in with me and then gets put in a locker or thrown on the floor. This pouch is perfect for all those little things and you can keep them nice and organized in a pouch.

Weight Loss Challenge Sponsor #3

Hello everyone —

The challenge has been going on now for 3 weeks and I have to say my girls are kicking some butt.  We are all having some rough days but overall, everyone seems to be doing rather well.

Today I am introducing another item the lucky winner will be receiving.

When we are working out, I feel we all have those un-motivating days where we just want to give up and not finish our sets/reps, however, we push through and find that strength we need to make our workout a good one.

This bracelet is perfect to wear while you are working out as well as your every day life.  It is a great reminder to have strength and push through everything. Our mind always gives up before our body does, so have the strength to fight through and finish strong!!

Check out their shop and show them some love:

Weight Loss Challenge Sponsor #2

Today, I am bringing you another sponsor for the weight loss challenge.  I really am so excited to share all the sponsors with you, they have all been so generous and I can’t wait for the winner to get all the goodies.

The 2nd sponsor is Owl Be Sweatin’.  I found their headbands and automatically knew I wanted one for the challenge.  They are perfect size, not too big but not too small, and have the cutest patterns.  Since chevron is in right now I went ahead and got a neutral chevron pattern.

I also felt close to the owners of Owl Be Sweatin’, I sent her my blog information so they could check everything out and after she read the girls story she said they would love to donate and went on to tell me about her sister-in-law who is co-owner delivered her baby at 26 weeks as well.  It is so neat to hear of others around us that go through the same things we do, when we were going through that experience we thought we were alone and no one had ever been through that situation … come to find out many others have and it is nice to see a business owner trying to be successful who has been through the same thing as us.

Here is the headband:

Here are some ways you can connect with them on social media:

Go check out their shop and Facebook page and get yourself a new headband!!

Mamavation Monday

Ok, so I have started the 10 week challenge and for week one I was down 3 pounds and so proud of myself.  I have really been struggling with motivation and not really sure what the next steps needed to be.

I figured if I started a 10 week challenge, I could help others who want to lose weight and hold myself accountable as well to be invested in losing the last 10-15 pounds that I wanted to do.

– get 3 workouts in
– hit my water intake for all days, 80+ ounces each day
– start walking again, it is starting to get colder but it will all be worth it in the end
– no excuses for not getting a workout in
– substitute one of my crappy meals a day for a healthy one

Food has been my biggest weakness, I have found myself lately not really caring about what I am putting into my body and drinking pop again and I know I am being my own worst enemy but I want to change that and I think the easiest way to do that is to start with just substituting a meal a day until I get all healthy meals in my every day routine.

What are your healthy and fitness goals for the week?
